Staff shortage in nursing care?

Not with us!

German care facilities have been facing an unprecedented shortage of skilled workers for several years. Of course, the Covid19 crisis has not improved the situation. The shortage of nursing staff remains a challenge for the German healthcare sector.

The challenges of an ageing population are manifold. But the care sector is one of the areas most affected by this demographic change. First of all, public spending, especially social spending related to healthcare and the care of an ageing population, is a constant problem for the German economy. In addition, despite the annual increase in the number of care workers, the demand for labor is never sufficiently covered and places in German care training remain empty. The need for foreign nursing staff and trainees is therefore greater than ever in Germany and will never be met without foreign nursing staff.
A large number of immigrants in Germany have difficulties with language communication. This in turn poses enormous challenges for care facilities.

For this reason, we want to recruit committed, motivated and experienced nurses who have already completed their training in Morocco, as well as trainees for German hospitals and care facilities.

The positive experience we have gained in the recruitment and integration of future Moroccan nurses will be assessed, evaluated and further developed in order to improve the effective and productive recruitment of qualified nurses.

Possibilities of the recognition procedure

Recognition process

This option is often difficult, as many applications and documents are required. Applicants usually find it difficult to submit a complete application on their own.

Application

As part of the accelerated skilled worker procedure, an employment contract must be available, the future employer bears the responsibility and may be liable for costs

The recognition process will in future be coordinated from Morocco by the efficient management of our dedicated partners, as part of our comprehensive consultative services.

Recognition process

For recognition, there must be equivalence in terms of the content and scope of the training.

Application

As a rule, the nursing specialist should submit the application for recognition in person to the responsible State Office for Social Services in the relevant federal state, Department of Health and Consumer Protection.
Alternatively, as mentioned in the introduction, the foreigners authority can prepare the application for recognition as part of the accelerated skilled worker procedure.

Costs of the recognition procedure

A recognition procedure is subject to a fee. The administrative fees range between 40 and 225 euros and additional costs may arise due to verification measures.

The costs are borne by the client, although the client has the option of refinancing.

Knowledge test

A knowledge test is required to obtain German recognition as a nursing specialist. The knowledge test is conducted by state-recognized nursing schools or comparable institutions in the employer's respective federal state.
Applicants have the option of repeating the knowledge test once if they have not passed it on their first attempt.

In order to successfully pass the knowledge test, a recognition procedure (preparatory course for the knowledge test in nursing including B2 telc language certificate and sustainable integration into the labor market for nursing professionals from EU and third countries) is necessary. This recognition procedure is carried out by various educational institutions. We recommend the company Lingoda as a training provider.

Foreign nursing staff who are in the recognition phase in accordance with the Skilled Immigration Act are not to be considered in the category without a professional qualification when agreeing the 2021 nursing budget, but rather in the respective professional group (usually corresponds to certified PH) in accordance with the official confirmation.

The planning and distribution of the theoretical subject matter and the missing practical assignments are determined individually by the respective institute.

Depending on the differences in training, the recognition procedure takes 6 to 12 months. Our nursing staff from Morocco usually pass the knowledge test after 6 months.

Due to § 81 SGB III (Qualification Opportunities Act), the future employer has the possibility of refinancing his costs (course costs, loss of wages).
The documents required by the employer are provided by us or the training provider.
The future employer has the option of using a 12 or 24-month commitment contract as an employment contract.
